What is TrailMix?

Our objective is to make the trail system in the open space surrounding Laguna Beach the best in the world.

WHO ARE WE?

Laguna Canyon Foundation's TrailMix is composed of like-minded, passionate trail users. We preserve, enhance and restore trails for diverse users through collaboration, education and by actually doing the back-breaking trail work. We hire contractors, organize volunteers and fundraise for initiatives. Our extensive experience, specialized equipment, and long-standing partnership with Orange County Parks enables us to accomplish top-tier work on trails throughout Laguna Coast Wilderness Park and Aliso and Wood Canyon Wilderness Park.

WHERE DO WE WORK?

Laguna TrailMix works with OC Parks on hiking trails, multi-use trails and accessible pathways throughout the Laguna Coast Wilderness Parks and the Laguna portions of Orange County Parks.

HOW DO WE WORK?

Our work includes:
• Maintenance
• Restoration
• Realignment
• Constructing new trails

In addition to our regular work in restoring and maintaining trails, we are currently working to develop a comprehensive trail maintenance and management plan. By assessing all trails and looking at the trail system as a whole and its impacts on both user access and the environment, we can build and implement a long term, sustainable action plan that will both enhance and improve trail users’ experiences and minimize impacts to sensitive wildlife habitat in the open space.
