In partnership with OC Parks, Laguna Canyon Foundation staff and volunteers lead hikes, bike rides, and programs throughout Laguna Coast, Aliso and Wood Canyons, and Laguna Niguel parks. From health and fitness hikes and rides to family programs and naturalist-led interpretive hikes, we offer something for everyone!
HEALTH AND FITNESS The South Coast Wilderness is a perfect place to exercise your mind and body. Our fitness hikes and bike rides range from easy to moderate on flat to elevated trails. If you are looking to center yourself, come out for a Yoga program.
FAMILY PROGRAMS IN THE PARK Our family hikes are especially designed for people of all ages to enjoy and connect with nature and each other. We have a wide range of programs for new parents looking to bring a child out to their first outing, tots interacting with the wilderness and entire families hiking together.
INTREPRETIVE HIKES There is a wide world of ecology, biology, geology and more that you can learn about while hiking in the wilderness. Join certified Naturalists as they lead you to discover what makes the South Coast Wilderness so special.
Bird Walk – Mason Regional Park

Spot local native and winter resident birds with Laguna Canyon Foundation volunteer naturalists on this slow and easy 2-mile walk through a landscaped suburban parkland setting at Mason Regional Park. No experience necessary! For ages 12 and up (minor must be accompanied by an adult). Wear hiking or walking shoes and bring your binoculars. Mason Regional Park, 18712 University Drive, Irvine (Exit I-405 at Culver Drive south, turn right (west/south) on University Drive, left at San Joaquin/park entrance – meet at western end of Parking Lot 1).
