In partnership with OC Parks, Laguna Canyon Foundation staff and volunteers lead hikes, bike rides, and programs throughout Laguna Coast, Aliso and Wood Canyons, and Laguna Niguel parks. From health and fitness hikes and rides to family programs and naturalist-led interpretive hikes, we offer something for everyone!
HEALTH AND FITNESS The South Coast Wilderness is a perfect place to exercise your mind and body. Our fitness hikes and bike rides range from easy to moderate on flat to elevated trails. If you are looking to center yourself, come out for a Yoga program.
FAMILY PROGRAMS IN THE PARK Our family hikes are especially designed for people of all ages to enjoy and connect with nature and each other. We have a wide range of programs for new parents looking to bring a child out to their first outing, tots interacting with the wilderness and entire families hiking together.
INTREPRETIVE HIKES There is a wide world of ecology, biology, geology and more that you can learn about while hiking in the wilderness. Join certified Naturalists as they lead you to discover what makes the South Coast Wilderness so special.
Blacklighting for Insects – National Moth Week
July 20 @ 8:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Celebrate National Moth Week and join us as we watch for insects visiting our black-light station. You can begin the evening with a short presentation about moths and butterflies, enjoy craft projects in the nature center, and wait for insects to visit the black light throughout the evening. Ages 8 and up; children under 18 accompanied by an adult. Bring a flashlight and layers of clothing in case the evening is cool.
