In partnership with OC Parks, Laguna Canyon Foundation staff and volunteers lead hikes, bike rides, and programs throughout Laguna Coast, Aliso and Wood Canyons, and Laguna Niguel parks. From health and fitness hikes and rides to family programs and naturalist-led interpretive hikes, we offer something for everyone!
HEALTH AND FITNESS The South Coast Wilderness is a perfect place to exercise your mind and body. Our fitness hikes and bike rides range from easy to moderate on flat to elevated trails. If you are looking to center yourself, come out for a Yoga program.
FAMILY PROGRAMS IN THE PARK Our family hikes are especially designed for people of all ages to enjoy and connect with nature and each other. We have a wide range of programs for new parents looking to bring a child out to their first outing, tots interacting with the wilderness and entire families hiking together.
INTREPRETIVE HIKES There is a wide world of ecology, biology, geology and more that you can learn about while hiking in the wilderness. Join certified Naturalists as they lead you to discover what makes the South Coast Wilderness so special.

Reach for the Heights with Martin Luther King, Jr. – Nix

Hike up Little Sycamore trail with your family and friends, elevated by the words of our brave, brilliant and compassionate American hero, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Drop in between 10:00 and 2:00 pm to hike on your own, reading inspirational quotes along the path to lift your spirits. From the ridge, enjoy the view. This moderate 2-mile hike is over uneven, steep and sometimes rocky terrain with a 400-ft. elevation gain. Hiking poles are recommended. Recommended for hikers ages 9 and up. Laguna Coast Wilderness Park, Little Sycamore Canyon Staging Area/Nix Nature Center (west side of Laguna Canyon Rd/SR-133, approximately 3.5 miles south of I-5/405).
