[Laguna Beach, CA, July 2, 2026] If you’re curious about what it’s like to hike the entire Pacific Crest Trail, join Scott Thomas, Executive Director of Laguna Canyon Foundation, for an inspiring presentation at the Susi Q Senior Center on Wednesday, July 15 from 2:00 to 3:00 pm at the Susi Q Center. Thomas successfully completed the legendary 2,650-mile trek from the U.S.-Mexico border to the Canadian border, an extraordinary journey that spans California, Oregon, and Washington through some of North America’s most breathtaking wilderness. The presentation will be held at the Susi Q Center, 380 Third Street in Laguna Beach. Underground parking is free. All ages are welcome, and registration is required.
Drawing from his firsthand experience, Thomas will share memorable stories from the trail, the physical and mental challenges of completing a months-long hike, and the stunning landscapes, wildlife, and trail communities that made the journey unforgettable. He’ll also reflect on the resilience, preparation, and connection to nature that carried him from start to finish. Whether you’re an avid hiker, a nature lover, or simply curious about one of the world’s most iconic long-distance trails, this presentation offers a rare, behind-the-scenes look at an epic adventure. “I’m excited to share highlights from my PCT hike. I’ll cover the local trails I hiked to prepare, and include a few short videos and stories of my favorite, and challenging moments.” Scott Thomas, Laguna Canyon Foundation Executive Director
